| Do you have what it takes to change the course of history? Will General Veers and his AT-AT's once again defeat the rebels on the frozen planet of Hoth? Or will Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and a few hundred Hoth Troopers overcome the mighty Empire? This event will run at GASPcon 9, and will be our Marquee event for Saturday. Over 400 miniatures will fight on the frozen battlefield of Hoth, including AT-ATs, AT-STs, and snowspeeders. The battle will be fought on a custom terrain board, 6 feet wide by 8 feet long. Each side (Rebels and Imperials) will have 5 squads of about 40 miniatures each, for a total of 10 players and over 400 miniatures. The event will be free to play, and all materials will be provided. GASPcon 9 is being held November 1st and 2nd, 2008 at the Best Western Inn, Pittsburgh, PA. More details can be found at www.gaspgamer.com. | I didn't see a section for Star Wars minis tournaments, so that's why I placed the thread here. The only tournament section was under D&D minis, unless I missed it.

We're anticipating a high demand for this event, once player registrations opens. If we get enough people on stand-by for the Saturday event, I may open a second game on Sunday.

| Player registration is now open for GASPcon 9, so if you want a spot in the Hoth battle, I'd suggest you register ASAP.

Player pre-registration came and went, but there is still time to get in on the Star Wars Minis action at GASPcon 9.
The Saturday Battle for Hoth event is sold-out, so we decided to add a second event on Sunday. This will be on-site registration only, but we anticiapte this filling quickly, just like the Saturday event did during pre-registration.
In addition, for those people that missed the pre-registration for GASPcon 9, you can still save a few bucks.
Here is a link for a coupon good for $5 off the full-weekend on-site rate of $25. With the coupon, it will give you the same price as pre-registering for the full weekend ($20).

The coupon is only good for full-weekend registration only. 1-day registrations are not eligible.
On Sunday, there is also a SWM Tile Wars game. 100pts and 1 terrain tile per person, and lots of close-quarters combat. This will be a fast-paced, grinder-style tourmament with prizes for the top 3 players.
There is a lot more going on than just SWM. Check out http://www.warhorn.net/GASPcon9/ to see a full list of events for the weekend. There's plenty of free parking at the hotel, and numerous food shops close by.
Hopefully we'll see a few new faces at GASPcon 9.
