Please don't make assumptions. Reread what I said- It is up to the players to decide what level of fluff they want to enforce. Nowhere have I stated what level of fluff I enforce, so you certainly can't make "obviously" conclusions.

So it seems that you do agree to what I said- You as players are enforcing the fluff that appeals to you.

You know, you could of just stopped with you didn't understand the Viper Droid comment, rather that saying that it just doesn't make sense. It did make sense, you just didn't grasp it.
You stated: "It's much better to leave such a stapple vehicle to the faction it belongs to." To which I replied: "Like the Fringe Viper Droid?"
The Viper Droid was never used by the Rebels, Republic, Separatists or Vong...yet its status as Fringe allows it to be used by all those factions per the rules. An example of a staple vehicle not in the faction it 'belongs' to... but able to be used by the Factions that did use it (Empire & New Republic).
Which is why I say that it is up to the players to enforce the level of fluff they want. Some want to stay 'historically' accurate, some want to do 'what if' battles and some don't want to concern themselves with fluff at all. So why should the game force you to play in a single style?

| thanks for the clarification on the viper droid...here is some on my part:
Show a viper droid to someone who has seen the movies, he'll say its a new type of vacuum cleaner or a "wtf?? no idea". There are good odds he'll not even link it to star wars. Show him an AT-ST and he'll instantly recognise the thing. By "stapple" i meant emblemic, in other words, that people will almost automatically link with its faction. The AT-ST is such vehicle, but...mm...in my first post i didn't think the viper droid qualified, hence the exemple not making sense.
Anyways, i'm all for variety...but there are some units that just don't fit in the fringe. The viper droid might be one case as you mentionned. I would have made Ewoks in the rebel faction myself, i just can't picture darth vader convincing the ewok council of his good intentions, then use the enslaved ewoks as convincing imperial shock troops

Or ask her and she will say "Isn't that the thing the big furry guy and the teddy bears captured?"

But it shows that WotC has pretty much decided if belongs to more than one faction, they make it Fringe. Which is why I insist that it is up to the players to enforce the level of fluff they want.

Well, there is always one in a crowd. Thats why I have my albino Ewok "Whitey." He was the one who said "I for one welcome our new overlords." And promptly joined up. Besides, he blends in so nicely with the Stormtroopers...

If you could give them Self Destruct to represent their new exploding collars, I could see it. [:D]

Im gonna chime in that the Clone Strike Count Dooku looks MUCH better than the crappy old man Darth Tyranus mini from RotS.
You heard it from the man himself [:D]
He'd give you a round of applause, but after that fight with Anakin...[:P]
I suspect the "alt pose AT-ST" is going to have the same stat card as the original one. | | "Why am I all sticky and naked? Did I miss something fun?" -Vindicated champion of Tordek, Dwarf Champion

| I hope the AT-ST is Imperial. But is it really a big deal to make a senario "borrowing" it for use by the Rebels??? (Al-La Chewy the AT-ST gunner)
Somebody once asked me if Ewoks were baby Wookies.... I said "Yes" because they were over 30 and should know better.
Hope the map(maps??) have the Endor bunker......

| About the whole AT-ST: rebel-or-not debate: I don't care.
It will very likely be Imp. Perhaps Rebel. Unlikely Fringe or other. That's it... I think the best move is to make it Imperial, then perhaps have a written official scenario where it is "manned" by Chewie.
Does anyone know the price of that thing? I think we know more about Bounty Hunters (through catalogue info) than on Endor pack and Champions of the Force together...
