| | All we know about Vader is he's a 52/53 point commander. I think I'll enjoy this set the most because it looks like they "fixed" melee. | | Champion of Jarlaxle Sets: Star Wars Year one complete,44/60 Champions of the Force,0/60 Bounty Hunters | |

| | It kind of sucks that the Old Republic only got one unique jedi and the sith got 3. On top of that I don't think Bastila will come close to matching the power of even the weakest Sith unique. Maybe in the next set they will fill that faction out a bit. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

I will reserve my judgement until her preview (next week I believe). I don't really expect her to match any of the Sith powerhouses one on one, but with a nice commander effect and a lot of nonunique Jedi in her faction, she could be really sweet...

They could be used to boost the NR also. Anywhoo Malak and Sev are now statted out for your enjoyment. Do you think I should make the names bold some you can see where someone elses stats stop and another begins or leave it alone? -Lots of KOTOR/EU -stuff in VR's. HK and Bastila are ones I might be interested in, but I think I have no interest in keeping others - will trade for those two or for rares.
-Half of the Rares look sweet, others kind of fillers. Barris, General Windu, Queen Amidala, Qui-Gon, Maul, Sidious, Atgar and E-Web are on my want -list if they are well done.
-Half of the uncommons are swinging sabers, sweet! After this set, there should be lot to choose from for jedi players. Sith Assault droid and Crab droid are nice surprises in uncommon slots - do you think they are both large?
-I believe Saleucami and Utapau Troopers are also clones? Like Kashyyk one. Strange...
It really feels to me that most of the clones are bit of a fillers. | | Having lots of clones is great for rpg as I can make it more authentic by placing geographically correct soldiers. It also makes skirmish easier for people with large clone armies to keep track of indivdual troopers. The clones in this set are not really generic clones though, most seem to be specialized. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves.

Actually, this doesn't demonstrate 'powercreep'. The developers overpriced Melee figures in Rebel Storm- they came out and publicly admitted it on the boards.
Now, they have released a Luke who is much more in line with his cost.
And don't worry- I expect we will see a bespin luke.

Why not? By doing it this way everyone who missed the first one gets a chance to own a Luke. It also gives the developers a chance to give the game a more competitive piece than the previous one. They also reposed him so its not like you're getting the same figure again in a different set. My only complaint is that he still seems underpowered. At the time this figure represents he should be as powerful as Vader. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves.

| Perhaps I should say revisionist history instead. I like rebel storm-very few of my friends play with these miniatures because their stats as well as their skills are underpowered compared to the newer sets. I guess my problem is that I have to shell out cash for a mistake Wizards made. I already have a Luke Skywalker jedi Knight - why would I need another? I guess I'm not as much of a collector as I thought.
Don't mean to be a downer, Some of the new minis look cool. It should be a fun set.

| While I think that Bane is a true beast (something about lightsaber assaulting and sith raging into doing two attacks at 50 damage a pop at +20 attack to force users kind of scares me) he at least has low defense and no defensive force powers. As such ranged squads will be able to do a heafty amount of damage to him very quickly, perhaps not 200 damage before he gets in melee but a boba/aura squad would probably be able to take him down by themselves.
That and because he's doing all his damage in two attacks someone using lightsaber block can put a big damper in his day, so long as the rolls go their way. | | I wish god were alive to see this.

| | His main weakness is the same as Vader JH. He eats up most of your man power with an 82 point cost. Also he is less powerful in that he has double attack so he dishes out less pain than Vader JH, but 200 hp keeps him in the game longer. Tough at anyrate, but I think we can overcome it. I'm more scared of Darth Maul at the moment. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| | Alot of the maps make it difficult for lots of long range shooting so jedi have become much harder to take down from a distance. On top of that some of the powerful shooters like Han Solo and Aurra are subject to the Jedi Hunter ability, so if they close the gap it is alll over for them. The light side just needs some similarly powerful jedi to close the gap. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |
