Seriously though, I am a collecting freak. That's why I have reigned myself into DDM (finished all but Underdark) and WotC D&D books (I have everything they've put out). I think I may need help. | | Champion of the Beholder and Beholderkin

| Godzilla - I know its rediculus...Yes they are obviously bulky costumes and model tanks...But its a peice of my childhood that I never stopped loving.
I own every Godzilla movie ever made on either VHS or DVD...plus its spinoffs (Rodan, Mothra, War of the Gargantuas ect). Im trying to upgrade every movie to DVD but they just havent even bothered doing it to some movies.
Because of Peter Jackson's King Kong, "King Kong vs Godzilla" came out on DVD November 29th....yay! Where else can you see japanese people covered in brown makeup trying to look like natives...HA!!
The Japanese still make Godzilla movies. They have a new one in the theatre every winter. You can buy them on DVd but they are never on TV or theatres...only the old ones we grew up with. The latest one was "Godzilla: Final Wars" that was in theatres December 2004. Toho pictures claims it will be the last Godzilla movie ever :(
I own a TOn of Godzilla toys from Japan...Its a really expensive hobby because G-toys are all imported from Japan so I get them online or at conventions.
Its weird but I love it.
I also collected Star Wars action figures...I had everything up until Episode 2 toys started being made...I gave up and sold alot of my stuff on ebay after that so that hobby died.

I feel like I am collecting Thomas the Steam Engine stuff since I buy so much for my son.
I have a semi-collection of various soda bottlecap figures that are produced in Japan. My favorites being the ones for the movie Shriek and the Lupan the third ones. The Star Wars ones are cool too but I gave up since there were just too many. | | Robert Rosehart Champion of the pixie

Yeah it was so awesome. It was so quick of an @ss whipping that it made it even better. What was funny was the copy I saw was all in japanese except the few people (grizzly captain guy) who spoke english, so I didn't get the line about the tuna-eating lizard. But it didnt matter, we still got the movie totally without dialogue :P | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

Actually this did happen to a friend of mine. He had jumped into bed rather drunk forgetting that he had been sorting a buckets worth of coins on his bed. Needless to say when he woke up the next day they were stuck all over him.... as well in some more *ahem* interesting places.
I'm a pretty big HPL&Cthulhu collector. It started with his books but has extended to other authors, movies , roleplaying games and Idols. I even took a bronzecasting class last fall to learn how to make statues. Somwhere in all my clutter I've got a Shub-Niggerauth and Dagon Idol. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | Frisbee Golf Discs (well, I have over 30, but I don't buy that many these days) My bookshelves have filled up--I have collected some series of books.
When I was younger, I collected key chains (stopped after over 160, but kept the collection). I used to collect MtG, but no longer do and will never do that again. I just kept my favorite 12 decks or so. At about age 12, I collected baseball cards briefly. I also collected this comic book called Arak. I must have traded the comics in one day.
The only thing I am actively collecting is DDM and some D&D accessories.

| Not long ago I started collecting those little rubber ninjas in those little pod dispencer thingies. Every time I passed by it in Wal-Mart I could not resist spending any quarters I had on them. Then they stopped carrying them =(
They look like Halflings and barely fit on a medium DDM base, so I'll have to attach them to bases and arrange for my PCs to fight a gang of colorful enlarged Halfling Ninjas.

| Hmmm ... let's see ...
Used to collect star wars figures but to be honest the prequels have dampened my interest in the whole frachise. I enjoy collecting and building lego, just about have enough to build an extension for my house. I have almost all the current Heroscape sets, even though my wife consistently beats me at it. I'd like to say that I "collect" swords and my wife still struggled to drag me out of any shop containing that stuff. However, due to my country hopping in recent years (I'm an Australian now living in the US), the swords that I do have are sitting in my parents basement back in Oz since they're a little complicated to transport internationally. I have a great story about going through Australian customs with a samurai sword in my luggage though! [:D] Another time perhaps ...
Oh, and I also collect the flags of countries I've visited.
