| Everyone else is doing, I thought I'd see what the MaxMinis folks can come up with here.
I've started ref-ing for my wife's Roller Derby team. One of the perks is that, even though I'm a guy, I get a derby name.
Derby names are alot like screen names / handles / whatever. They try to be clever and / or carry a bit of an edge to them sometimes. Some of the current guys are ...
Tom - Tommahawk Colin Foul Rocketboy
etc.
So the head ref says "I'm sure you're online on boards and stuff ... just use the name you use for that" ... and this, obviously, doesn't quite work for me. I admit, my username is the pinnacle of cleverness and really broadcasts that edgy, carnival-side-show feel that a derby name should evoke.
So, suggestions? Keep them relatively clean. | | Triangle DDM Skirmish Group | My Email | 45-ish trades and counting | Stuff for Trade * * * Show your brother some love and click here * * * | |

| ChristopherGraves--for the Undead feel (or REALLY push it to CrossedOverGraves). ChristopherCross--Uhh, that brings back too many BAD memories. ChristopherWould--It's a long way to go for a Groves/Woods/Would pun. Chris"Dice"Groves--For you children of the 80's.

| Chris "The Groove" Groves is something that I can hear being announced
Chris "The Crane" Groves was what I first thought of, but a Grove where I work means industrial crane, but then the image of you in Kung Fu Crane position on skates is very scary.

| The fine art of rollerderby names generally involves your name and a pun that carries a threat of danger/violence. Since versions of "chris" are also girl names, you could maybe look around on the web and find a good one to swipe.
How about: Chrisky Business Chrisfire Chris the Girls Chriscross Cracked Christal (also try shattered, jagged. though the alliteration is good here) Bent Topher Topher My Dead Body (amuse yourself with further plays on “over.”)
Maybe you could just ditch your name, and come up with a dangerous-sounding phrase, and work a name into it. Maybe something DDM-esque, (but not too far gone) like green dragon or chaotic beater (wouldn't actually recommend that last one, given the sexual undertones of rollerderby.
