Don't know how many of you follow the series or have played one of the games. But In case you didn't know, a movie is on the way.

This looks to be the best Game-to-Film adaptation yet! I've been following this for about 2 years, and I must say I'm am extremely excited. WD's has nothing on my excitement for April to come along.

My only gripe is that there seem to be more people running around Silent Hill than there should be...but I suppose they have to "Hollywood it up" alittle bit to hold casual viewer interest throughout...

Silent hill is one of the most amazing video game series ever. I'm a little worried with the movie. Because of that I've purposely been avoiding watching any of the previews. It does have Sean Bean, which is a definite plus. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one. I hope the movie is great.

Never played the games and from the website it doesn't give much clue as to the demons you mentioned. Just some prattle about a mother taking her cukoo for cocoa puffs daughter to a town called Silent Hill and finding something spooky. The photo gallery they have didn't help much. What's the 10 cent tour/explanation?

saw the trailer a few weeks ago and it looks very true to the 1st game except they have switched the main character and cops genders.
Just a minor quibble otherwise it looks great.

The newest issue of Electronics Gameing Monthly has an interview with the director.

He said he loves the games and will do everything in his power to break the "Videogame Movies = the sux" Curse.

Its based after the 1st game for PS1 but he changed the main hero to a woman.

Story is still the same:
Daughter keeps having dreams about the town of Silent Hill.
Neither the parent or child have ever really been there.
Parent drives child to town to see if it triggers memories.
Creepy girl appears in road, car swerves and crashes.
Parent wakes up and daughter gone.
Creepy town is explored to find daughter.
Seriously creepy stuff ensues.
