So the game has gone live, while i have yet to play it, not sure i will i do read the forums. Lots of nasty stuff on there, name calling etc. But from what i do read the game seems to have little in the way of content, but while they say there is no gring, repeating the same dungeon 6 times seems like grind in a different form. Any maxminis users car to give us a more unbiased review as the ddo forums are just full of crap.

There were a couple of threads here about DDO during the beta phase of the game, and fileplanet's DDO stress test trial. A few folks gave their reviews once the non-disclosure agreement ended. You should be able to find them somewhere here in the off-topic forum.

Not much changed from the beta to the release. I think they hammered out a couple of bugs in the combat code but the content is still very limited. Personally I'd wait for the first expansion (although if everyone waits for the first expansion it'll never get made [:(]).

Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie?

I have several friends who are playing DDO and think it is great. Mind you, there are several paramaters (some would say limitations) on the game. For example, there is no PvP in DDO. They've said this since day 1 and yet people still complain about it. There is a current level cap at 10--again, said since day 1. There is little solo content, just like it was advertised.
It is a wonderful game for the casual player. Play a couple of hours every couple of days. Meet a few folks with whom you can complete a quest or two while slowly working your way to 10th level.
Is the game perfect? Of course not. It seems like a number of the nay-sayers are trying to make DDO something it isn't.

The man who thinks he can, and the man who thinks he can't are both right. Which one are you?
