I saw this as I was scanning the news from the AP wire. Rolla, (Universtiy of Missouri at Rolla) is the state of Missouri's engineering school. It is a really demanding school from what I have heard. But they are more known for wild parties to destress than shatter proof coffee mugs. But, if you are studying and stressed and want to throw something; this all makes sense.....[:D]

That's what I liked about science classes--the fact that teachers were encouraging students to break stuff.

It is one of the reasons that I am in to science. Main reasons that people get into science, death and destruction... [}:)]

Hmmm, makes me wish I'd taken more science classes.

Reminds me of the "dropping cans of Dr. Pepper that had frozen solid out of a second story window 'experiments'" back in high school Chemistry. Science is such fun sometimes. [:D]

reminds me of egg drops, where everyone in the class would get the same supplies and you would have to build some sort of contraption to hold an uncooked egg, then drop it off the school roof and see if it broke or not.

I miss school soemtimes.

I like the comment about how the winning team's mug left a dent in the pavement. That made me chuckle.
