One of my classes was called due to prof family issue. So, I am hanging out in the lab and I say after making an ebay purchase for some minis, "winner winner chicken dinner!!" And, the other person in the lab says, "Where does that quote come from? My husband says it all the time."

Therfore, I though I would ask the brightest folks I know. Where does the saying, "winner winner chicken dinner." come from???

And if you can answer that, how about "Lucky lucky chikenbone!"

It's amazing what you can find with google [)]
"On our last trip we asked several dealers and pit personel if they could explain the Winner, Winner chicken dinner mantra. After a couple of cocktails my wife starts throwing that around on every big win or when she pulls a hand she thought she was going to bust on.
None of the younger people knew what it meant either, but almost all had heard it shouted out from people. All of the older casino workers told me the same thing. Years ago every casino had a 3 piece chicken dinner with potato and veggie for $1.79. A standard bet back then was $2.00, hence when you won a bet you had enough for a chicken dinner. So now you know the rest of the story. "

No clue about Chicken Dinner.

Walk through the student center yelling that out every once in a while and see what kind of reaction you get. [:D]
