I won't be attending any qualifiers in the Midwest with persistent news like this...I know it's a DDMer trying to remove competition for the qualifiers...

I know this is a topic of great concern around the K.C. area as the KU (university of Kansas) studnet health services has been keeping an eye on this. Since there are tons of people that communte between KU and K.C., myself included.
"from KU web site"
KU Mumps Information:
April 13: Douglas County had reported 37 cases of mumps, 33 of which were reported to be KU students.
April 10: Official Watkins Student Health Center Mumps statement
April 4: Official KU news release.
I will admit that I have a keen interest in viral replecation and D&D. But it wasn't me I blame wakeXX [:D]. I am not a skirmisher and wake can take the fall for that as well. [)]

No skimish skills to speak of...but I had the mumps as a kid.
Hmmmm maybe I should go to some of the midwest qualifiers and see if I can win by default [:p].

Feh.
We midwesterners are tough. It'll take more than the mumps to stop us.

CoCB, funny that last statement is why I'm bringing this back from the depths.
At the University of Kansas there is close to 200 outbreaks in the Douglas county. Of those out breaks over 95% are on KU. To make matters even worse in my dept. There are 10 grad students. Of those grad students 2 have been confirmed with mumps. Niether one are from the midwest.....regardless. It still sucks....walking around in a couple of the classes is like walking through a movie set of a zombie movie or something......[XX(]
