Idaho. Yes, we have Gamers in Idaho.

Alright, now I'll gripe about dirty, rotten, vandalous kids (probably kids, anyway) who have nothing better to do on a Friday night than drive around with a BB gun shooting windows out of random cars. How the hell does anybody grow up thinking things like that are fun? I spent an entire day this weekend cleaning up shattered glass and making space in my garage so I could get my van out of the driveway. Now I have a van that isn't driveable and a car with criss-crossed duct tape holding the back window together. I tell you what. They're lucky I don't know who they are.

We had a group of kids like that in our neighborhood before I moved in. I set up a camera outside my house, and they are all serving time now for the following:

BB gunning windows
Arson (abandoned house right behind mine, was getting remodeled)
Felony Cruelty to animals (I didn't get tape of this, but they admitted to it in interrogation. singing cat's hair, things like that)
a slew of other misdemeanors.

I wasn't about to let a bunch of punk kids ruin my neighborhood.

Now, on to my gripe.

materialism in the world. Too many people focused on things, I see people drowning in debt because they have to have XY&Z. seriously, you don't need to have DTV premium if you make $8/hour. It's not a right. Buy food for your kids.

Speaking about that, but what sickens me, literally, are shows like that MTV Super Sweet 16 show, where people start crying if they only spen $10,000 on a party and don't get a car. And people wonder why kids act the way they do.

Speaking of MTV, why do I have to have insomnia and be awake at 4 AM to see a music video these days, on any channel?

My current pet peeve: people who can't accept responsibility for their actions. Don't blame things on other people. Be an adult and suck it up. Why is that so hard?

You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. It's old and stuffy. - Originally Posted by BabWryter on Kenzerco.com

Absolutely!  For once it would be nice if people stood up and took responsibility for their actions (or the consequences of their actions).  Especially adults with respect to their childern.Â

But just to follow the thread, my current top 10 pet pieves / what I'm sick of:

1. High gas prices
2. Incompetance
3. Slobs
4. Wet/canned cat food
5. Cold and winter weather
6. The outrageously high cost of perscriptions
7. Windows 2007 (being installed at work)
8. Backaches
9. Dial up web access
10. Not having my Unahllowed cases yet

It's easier to blame others.  And, this spills over onto the international scene.  Imagine what might happen if the Israelis took responsibility for themselves, and tha Palenstians took responsibility for themselves, and the two just ignored each other for a while and took care of themselves.

Multiply this all around the globe, and we might get somewhere.

But, no, it's always the other guy's fault.

Oh man that sucks.

By the way, not that this is relevant to Diomedes' post in particular, but it refers back to my previous one here.  My father-in-law lived through his surgery today.  No more colon, but hey, it's just in the way.

well, IIRC, Angelfire had a common line up directly with artwork. One was a dwarf, and the other two were horde type monsters. I avoided the dwarf artwork in my random purchasing, as I don't need more dwarves, but I could definitely use more of the monster types. Nothing big, but it let me get more useful minis, personally.

Sorry for this addition (it's pretty petty compared to my last one).

I'm sick of places that sell items in excess of $100 and don't take credit. It's like "excuse me?!" this is 2007, we have nifty robots and can attach digital cameras to people's brains. Places should be doing a retina scan by now and we shouldn't even have credit cards. Who the heck carries a stack of cash in their wallet? No one wants to take checks (I don't blame them) but can these vendors seriously not shell out the $1 transaction fee for the credit card? They'd probably pass the cost on to me anyhow. Every time I see "cash only" I'm seriously tempted to try and barter livestock with the merchant to alert them to the fact that their method of doing business is obsolete (I have thus far restrained the urge... but it's there).

I've gotten to the point where I just flat out refuse to do business with such places and actively encourage my friends to do so as well. I know, it's petty, but I get so annoyed when a vendor can't supply what I see as a bare minimum level of customer support.

There's a movie theater near where I live that don't take credit cards either. It's a historic landmark so part of me wants to support them, but the inconvenience of paying for everything in cash just too much when you add they cost the same or more than more modern theaters with better seats, more options, and better sound system.

It's not the same as if I was paying hundreds of dollars, but the lack of credit card transactions really irks me as well.

Time for me to join in.

You what I hate? Toes. That's right, toes. They don't do anything, they just dangle around on the end of your feet waiting for you to accidentally smack them on something so that they throb and turn all sorts of interesting colours, some of which I'm not sure have names.

Guess what I did this morning?

Actually, the Big toe is essential to balance. The other toes, not o much, but the Big toe is very vital to balance.

According to my grandmother (who is now 91) some of the girls in her generation had some of their toes removed for the sake of wearing narrower shoes. I have no idea if that's true or not, but she claims it is, and seconds the "it messes with your balance".

The owner of my FLGS told me he had to brow beat his distibutor to get them to ship for Fri. arrival.  As opposed to sending the shipment on Fri.  I found that odd.

I like to think of it as "whinners".

But here is another gripe. I just initiated a trade thread over on the WOTC boards, and because I had no refs over there, even though I had almost 3 times as many trades as the other guy, he considers it "no references" and is making me ship first. If it wasn't that it was so lopsided in my favor (2 cards, which I care nothing about, for 2 UH rares), and any minis on my partwere involved, I'd have called off the deal. I usually don't have pride issues like this, but it really ticks me off.

I hate it when we have qualifiers and the number of folks who qualify is the same whether the event has 10 people or 60 people. That sucks.

I too hate it when places don't take cash. What the heck? Fortunately, I don't encounter them often.

I hate it when I really, really need to be doing something else and can't drum up the motivation to do it.
