| Firstly, it's good to see a Docrot Who fan on here. Sure there are many more, but still.... We Brits are about to watch series 2 on the new version tonight. Are you watching the ones with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper?
I think the Doctor Who scenes are too futuristic to suit DDM. It'd be nice, but maybe when we have more constructs... (Warforged = Cybermen anyone?). | | My Trading Thread

| I am watching this new series. It is so nice. I feel like a kid again. It has the right feel for the Doctor.
This is series one so I hope that there are not to many spoilers from season two. You are right in that the shows are the ones with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper. Last nights episode was the one where the Doctor and Rose wind up in Utah with the Dalek.
As to the minis I think there was a RAFM set or maybe Ral Partha set that had some Daleks in it as well as some of the other characters....Not high quality. But this was early in the 80's IIRC.... | | Ambassador of FUN!!!

| | it was strange watching a flying dalke but to hear the "ezterminate" after so many years brought out the kid again in me. i also collect star wars mins so im trying to find out if theres dr who merchandise compatible with mins. the old ral parta mins were cool but are too msall for the scale of wotc. im looking at the dr who plastic lines currently out for ideas | | The ROCK layeth the smacketh down. Hmm.... Maybe Leia (paint hair blond) and Han/Luke fleeing a collection of Stormtroopers, to recreate a Cyberman chase? | | My Trading Thread | |

| | I thought the same thing about "EXTERMINATE" I felt like a kid. But I thought the daleks were scarier the first time around.....maybe I have been de-sensitized....[:(] to bad. I am quickly becoming addicted to this show. It is the only show out of all the shows that I record that I listen to the opening theme. Something about that music takes me back...[:D] Glad to hear that season 2 is shaping up.... | | Ambassador of FUN!!! | |

| Flying Daleks?! Heresy is afoot! [:D]
The Sith Warriors coming out in Champions of the Force would make excellent looking Cybermen. Although I always felt the old-school Doll looking ones were scary. | | Pathetic Earthlings. I was a huge fan of the series, I have all the 3rd,4th,5th,6th,and 7th doctors on tape and some of the 1st and 2nd. Even watched the horrible tv movie from 10 years ago that made the doctor Half Human and American (so glad they apparently decided to ignore it).
Anyway..... one of the last episodes had the doctor going up against the Daleks in a wartorn London and he raced up a flight of stairs and started taunting the Dalek about how can a race concider itself superior if it can't even handle a flight of stairs. The Dalek proceded to hover up the stairs just like in last nights episode so I wasn't caught by surprise. It was great to hear "exterminate, eterminate" again.

Yeah, Remembrance of the Daleks, a Seventh Doctor story that takes place in London, 1963 introduced the hovering Dalek. I'm glad that there was no Davros in this last episode; while I think it's necessary to have a main speaking voice for the Daleks, he was overused in the end of the old series.
Very slight spoiler on a cast member in next week's episode:
Next weeks episode is okay/average (It's much better if you've seen Shaun of the Dead as the guest star played Shaun) but the rest of the season is pretty intense. | | Champion of the common Flying Monkey (Fez optional) Peter Lee on the WotC board BAD WOLF
