| I've got it figured out that here in Winnipeg manitoba we're paying the equivalent of $3.30USD/US Gallon for regular grade fuel after doing the conversion from liters to US Gallons and CAN to US dollar.
Just curious what everybody else is paying for fuel right now?

| I was just watching the news this evening and they said that the fuel prices in Vancouver would be 1.18CAN/liter by morning. That translates into about 3.90USD/US Gallon. That little tidbit on the news was what got me wondering how much everyone else is paying right now.

| The last time I put gas in the van (I think the end of last week?) it was $2.89 (for regular - 3.09 for premium) but I am sure it is much higher now. This is in CT.
I am glad Rune carpools and only usually dirves 1-2 days a week. As for myself, I am definately more aware of where I am going and try to stay close to home on our daily outings.

| | Yesterday on NPR a cost comparison of 1970's oil embargo fuel costs were still higherby two dollars to what the price of fule is right now. Then it was just above $80 USD for oil where as now the cost per barrel is around the low to mid $70 USD mark....not that it helps but I just thought that I would share... | | Ambassador of FUN!!! | |

That disdain for cyclists isn't limited to your area, I nearly get run off the road once per week or so. I'm only 3 miles from where I work, and both busses that I need to take run quite often. At times my way is great, but there are times when it's a PITA. | |

| New Hampshire has a pretty low Gas tax so we have "decent" prices for gas... of course our roads are falling apart! I drive about 40,000 miles per year, so I'm keenly aware of gas prices.
If you want to find some info on regional and over time prices check out this site:
http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_gnd_a_epm0_pte_cpgal_w.htm
Gasoline actually spike in September of last year, due in large part to Katrina. I suspect that we will equal those prices this summer, and if the golf gets slammed again, we'll see near $4.00 per gallon gas in the northeast.
What is really stunning is that Crude was selling for $20.00 a barrel just 7 years ago, and Gasoline was selling in New Hampshire for less than $1.00 per gallon! Talk about inflation!

| This might help a bit. One of my gaming buddies emailed this to me. http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=&src=Netx If you type in your zip code, it gives you the price of gas at all the stations in your area. It also shows the national average at the bottom, along with the highest and lowest. I'm guessing this is a US only thing. Hopefully if Louisiana congressmen get there bill pushed through so the state will receive some money from the oil drilled in the gulf the price will go down some. (probably not for this summer) which every other oil producing state gets but LA. If it does the state will release more land for drilling. My brother works for Exxon/ Mobil in the oil field. He as told me that 4 out of 5 production platforms are not producing oil (still fixing damage from storms)

Yet the oil companies are raking in record-high profits. I think this is just an excuse for them to stick it to us.
