I'm sure some people here have read the second book in the Sellsword series. How was it? I was pleasantly surprised by Servant of the Shard, but am still cautious about Salvatore's books. I just picked it up used on a whim as I had run out of reading material and thought it would be intersting to read about Artemis. I think Salvatore has become a much better writer over the years. I enjoyed the Icewind Dale trilogy when I was young (I also read the first Drizzt series and the first book of the second series before I just got tired of the character and the writing style) but re-reading it a few years ago it didn't hold up very well.

I found it entertaining and most enjoyable. Laughed a lot when I read that book. The only thing I don't like about it is that it de-mystifies Artemis, and I thought he was a much cooler character when he was mysterious.
It's worth reading.

See I didn't enjoy Spine of the World and Servant of the Shard as much as the others. But I will be picking up this book. glad too hear its worth a read. Not a Drizzt fanboy just a FR fan.
