| Well I know some of you know that I lost my job around x-mas. I haven't been able to get a job and I've sold off all my DDM figures, collectibles and most of my hobby stuff on e-bay. My power supply decided to burn out on me recently so I haven't been on the board for the past couple of weeks. I am basicly out of money and in danger of loosing my house I just bought this last year. So needless to say my year started off really good...
I'm writting this because I just went to my second interview for a position working for a contractor for the department of defence. This position has a salary of almost twice what I was making at my last job (over $40,000 to start) and would be a great chance for a career instead of a job. I really need this job and I want it too. So I'm asking for some good luck to be sent my way. I should find out in the next few days if I get it. So if you're willing lend me some positive vibes and keep your figures crossed for me...

| Alright, I'll send you some well wishes, but only on the condition that you send them back with some of your own once you're done with them. I lost my job just after New Year's and it's been a royal pain finding a new one, so I can relate. Luckily, my savings and utter slashing of my spending (my miniscule War Drums collection can attest to this) have kept me afloat, and I can keep going for at least a few more months.
All I know is that I'm really sick of interviews, and I'm sure you'll agree with me there. | |

| UPDATE
Well I just got off the phone with the human resource manager and he gave me some pretty good news. They still have some background checking to do, but he told me that if I get any job offers between now and next Tuesday I am to call him immedeatly. They are very interested in me and they'ld prefer that I talked to them before I accepted anything. So I would have to say I have a better chance of getting the job then I had yesterday. Seeing how the only thing I have that is remotely on the table is a $9.00 an hour farm job, I'm thinking I should wait the extra few days for the chance at $40,000+ per year...
For those of you that posted on here and gave me some happy thoughts, I thank you. I'll have to come up with something if i get the job to give you all a chance to have some good luck, I'm thinking of a random booster or two give away. Thanks again, keep pulling for me please..... | |

well pending I can pass the old pee in a cup test....
Anyways, thanks for all the good words from everyone. I am going to be $100 short of making $45k a year so it will help me and my soon to be wife get caught up on things. I still will have to file for being bankrupted, but it will at least give me a good start.
I'ld like to thank thoses that gave me a good word for all of this, I was thinking of getting 2 war drum boosters and drawing names for 2 lucky people to get them. I'll have to wait for the first check though lol. No offense lurkinglidda, but I think you can go without one [)]

| UPDATE
First day on the job and things went good, I did have to do much and I got paid $19.95 and hour to do it all (yeah I can get a lot of infomecial stuff at that price lol). Of course now we get to the bad spot about working there....
No internet access is allowed at work until all the systems are upgraded to XP and then it will be limited access whihc might only be e-mail to outside addresses. I can't check out the board here now until after work, this sucks...... | |

I had though about it, but basicly all they did was sit in a box. I never got to chance to play any RPG with them and I'm sure it would cost me about $2000 to get them all back by the time I track them all down. I don't think it's worth the effort to go with it. They were nice to have, but I can't see getting back into them, even at my current pay grade. I am so far behind right now even with close to $4000 a month coming it, it's going to take me about 4 months to get back on track with the bills. | |
