| Well, the movie thread got me thinking. I think it would be great if they did a D&D cartoon similar to Clone Wars and Samurai Jack by Genndy T.
I'd want an Eberron cartoon that focused on groups of competing explorers. Lots of action, adventure, and intrigue.

| That might actually be pretty good, I liked the clone wars style. Minimal dialogue, alot of expressions, and lots of action. Warforged might come across really cool in that kind of cartoon.
I'd say 2 groups of adventurers of opposite aligmments working towards the same goal, with maybe a double agent thrown in.

| Ok picture this a group of young friends are transported to an alternate world where a Yoda wanna be gives them each a magic item and advise....(writers pitch to network)
How the heck that idea ever got picked up I'll never know but I agree with Ghender anything would be better. | | Asystole is a stable heart rhythm

| How about they do it like the Animatrix?
All different art styles and sometimes CG. Each story is 1 to 6 episodes long in order to tell a short story.
Some shorts are Dragonlance, others are Eberron ect. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| I'd love to see a D&D cartoon by Genndy Tartakovsky. Samurai Jack was awesome, as is most of Genndy's work. Really, I'd like to see anything new by him at this point.
I'm not an Eberron fan, but judging by Samurai Jack and the Clone Wars stuff, I couldn't imagine it being set anywhere else.
The Animatrix style thing would be pretty cool too.

[:)] let's see... Dwarf with an axe... check Quest to stop really evil end of the world thing... check Morally troubled Rogue character... check Hero falls in love with female elf type character... check Gigantic Dragon shows up and everyone flips out... check
Yeah I'd say that about covers it...
But anyhoo, I'm loving the Clone Wars/Samurai Jack style... some of my favorite animation ever. Stunning visuals, minimal dialouge (seriously a cartoon is supposed to be a visual medium, you hear me?) and a kickin' story... yeah I'm sold.
Now how do we pitch it to the networks? | | LIVENOTONEVIL

| | I definitely agree with the Clone Wars style idea and even the Animatrix(best $3.28 I've ever spent on a bargain bin movie[:D]) idea and although a new cartoon would never fly and actually become produced, I wonder what the legal issues surrounding the replication of the D&D concept or even D&D-like ideas for those of us who would want to take it upon ourselves to actually, sssssaaaaaaayyyyyy, make several flash movies or something of the like? If instead of trying to wade through all of the legal mumbo-jumbo that cannot be "dumbed down" because it can create loopholes not in the interest of WotC, is anyone here able to simplify what the issue surrounding the situation would be but without creating the afore-mentioned loopholes? If I could do this even for school projects instead because of not being allowed to legally show them over the internet and whatnot, that I could settle with.
