Hi, I'm a ex-final fantasy online player. My character name was Phoebus and I played on Alexander server as a mithra. I just want to know if some of you play or use to play FFO.

Signature... What is that ??? Ah yes its the thing we put below our post that almost no one take the time to read... At least that I dont take the time to read. Oh damn I wrote too much and now I have no more place for signature... Maybe next time...

I played for a few months when it first hit the US. Overall I was pretty impressed with it's format, and story-arc quests. For me, the big issue was that everything required groups, and it was virtually impossible for me to get into any kind of worthwhile group. Also had some issues with the combat set up.

Always wanted to play it but never got around to it.

I've been swapping between GW, WoW, and UT2k4 myself.

I enjoyed it twice (yes I bought the game a second time...stupid me)

The cons
-Everything required groups
-The Japanese players already had a Zone progression system in place, so there were a LOT of barren places in that game
-The Dunes...dear sweet god the Dunes.... *gouges out eyes*
-Originally, if your account expired you had to buy another copy of the game
-World pass system. I want to play with my friends, let me play with my friends from level 1 fools. (there was a tedious workaround though)
-There were what, like 12 different enemy models, just with different colors.. other games they at LEAST got bigger
-everything cost soooo dang much (again...Japanese set a precedent..)

Pros
-Quests had cutscenes and story arcs
-itemization was pretty decent
-Job system, god I love video games with job systems, my favorite aspect of FF Tactics brought to MMO.
-classes to choose from

Ima stick with WoW though, thinkin about breaking into Lineage 2 again sometime though.

I currently have an active account, but I don't play it very often. I'm on the Phoenix server.

The biggest problem with FFO in its current incarnation is the economy. Everything is sooooo expensive. The second worst sword you can get in the game costs over 3k at the auction house.

I also play WoW. Again, not very often. You can find me on the Aggramar realm, Alliance side. Name is Luciantha (that's right, I play a female character, you wanna fight about it?)
