| I've never been too interested in sports, contrary to most Finnish people. Nor have I been interested in Eurovision, an international european music contest. The contest has traditionally been full of ballads and 'Euro-disco' -music - this time, Lordi, a Finnish Hard Metal group represented Finland, which shocked many internationally.
For the first time, Finland won the competition and made a record with amount of votes. For the first time after being just a kid and watching the contest with parents, I followed the contest and was actually interested and fascinated about it.
I'm happy for Finland winning the contest. I'm even more happy about that the winner was Lordi, which has turned everything around with the competition. Maybe from now on, more attention will be payed to music rather than shortest skirts and deepest neckline.

'Hard Rock Hallelujah' is the winning piece. I believe they've on the edge of breakthrough, they might well be seen overseas soon, like Him, Nightwish and some others. Metal seems to be becoming trademark music of Finland...

| Hey I heard of this band from blabbermouth but never knew what they sounded like and looked.
Being a fan of the band Gwar,WASP and the like....(along with the Crue and Maiden)....I will give them a try...checking out the tunes now.

It's funny how this group has also caused so much negative opinions, many people here were afraid that this band would put Finland in shame (Finland's usually been the last one on this constest with very stupid songs). In Greece, there was lawsuits made in order to prevent Lordi from taking part in the contest... People are funny! [:D]
