| Well, I can't believe I actually genuinely enjoyed it. [:)]
Don't worry, I won't be giving any spoilers.
There are some bits about Luthor's part in the movie I found a little ridiculous, but everything else was great.
The flying CGI effects were better than I expected. And I was really happy of the way Supes sensibly used his other powers (super hearing, x-ray vision, and heat vision! [:D]).
I also didn't expect this movie to be so... well... "heartfelt?" Remember how you felt after watching Fellowship of the Ring the first time? It was something akin to that. Bryan Singer did a great job of making a great movie out of an obviously problematic script.
Lastly, just a nitpick. I watched this at IMAX. I was kinda disappointed a bit of the 3D mode. I knew there was only 20 minutes of it in 3D, but the 3D effect wasn't really that spectacular or mindblowing. It looked great, but the 3D effects for the IMAX trailers of T-Rex, Happy Feet, etc. and NASCAR 3D movie somehow looked sharper and better.
Anyway, definitely an enjoyable, rip-roaring, crowd-pleasing movie event. Ranks up there with (and may even be better than) Batman Returns, the two Spider-Man movies, and the first two X-Men flicks. I can't wait for the next Superman! Good thing we have Spider 3 to tide us over next summer. [:D]
