The slaad referenced by Belkar's devils (the voices of temptation and virtue that appear on people's shoulders). No angel, just two devils....and the slaad. But you really don't want the slaad showing up.

Rich Burlew has obviously done the math in regard to the characters levels and classes. I wonder if he has character sheets made up for them?
He should write (or cowrite) a one shot adventure with the OOTS cast as playable characters. I would definately buy that.

Unfortunately, I stumbled upon this thread before I read the comic today. I wasn't expecting the comic out so early. So, when I read it, and saw it start with the undead dragon, I expected it the whole time. It was bizarre. It wasn't nearly as funny since I "knew" what was going to happen. Oh, well. It made me wonder if you guessed or read the comic first.

For the record, no I'm not.
On the side of new news, man did Roy get his @ss handed to him. Meteor Swarm and falling what 100 ft.? I can't really think about what could happen next.
If I had to predict, I'd say Roy will have a revelation (right word?) and think it isn't worth fighting Xykon anymore then his dad will appear and talk him back into fighting.

Well, if Xykon can cast meteor swarm, he's at least caster level 17. Maybe Rich (Xykon) is referring to the fact that a Lich has a +4 level adjustment--makes him effectively 8 levels higher. As far as figuring how tough an encounter Xykon is, he's at least CR 19, which is way out of a 13th level adventuring party's league.
