| I think it's more of a curiosity to me than anything else.
For example, in college there was a pyramid of spam cans left in my dorm room when I moved in. I quietly packed them away and offered them to every visitor I had for the entire year (they all politely declined). At the end of the year I unpacked them and left the pyramid as I had found it for the next tenant. I'm not sure if the tradition continues.
I'll be honest, in all of my time with the cans, I thought of them more along the lines of a gag rather than serious eating, although I am aware that some folks love it. But I'm afraid it's just not for me.

| According to wikipedia, it's chopped pork shoulder meat and ham. So it's not unidentified. Other useful tidbits include that it was the only non-rationed meat in Brittan in WW2, which caused the country to consume it regularly and grow tired of it.

| Spam is essentially the same as hot dogs (although the meat used in spam is probably less questionable).
Spam casserole, fried, chopped spam + mac and cheese, and spamsticks are all very good. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Champion of Dwarven Thunderlashers Knight of the Large Dire Chicken Have/Want List Trade References

| I have never had spam, and I'm not sure I ever will.
I do love hot dogs, however, and i understand they are both made from the same things. (I would say meat, but...)

| There is an okinawan dish that is really good using Spam. You chop up the spam as well as goya (a very bitter okinawan vegetable) and lightly fry them with a bit of fried egg. It is mix of salty and bitter flavors. Very tasty. | | Robert Rosehart Champion of the pixie
