Eh, it's a matter of perspective. I don't use it myself, but there's a lot of folks who use it for games/trading/hanging out. I'm glad it's there for them, and it's easy enough to minimize that box on the side so it doesn't even show up if you're not interested.
I'm still a bigger fan of implementing a word count myself, but that's just me  | |

Ahh Idzy, you're missing out. It's like a giant off-topic to sometimes on topic thread. Might never make it near any of the counts of ya'll but can most always be found in chat. Hehe though if I spent less time chatting I might have a more impressive count. | |

My biggest problem with it is that its not a very good chat setup, I much prefer IRC for chat. Plus I would really miss all that extra post padding | |
