Mr. Consistency Editor says "if the lightsaber burned his pants, why wasn't it damaging the floor when it hit?"

Nitpicks aside, that's some most excellent CGI without studio backing. The choreography is actually pretty good although the non-lightsaber attacks (kicks/punches) are very poorly executed (fear my chest tap of doom!). Too many spins for realistic combat, but would visually fun to watch. Definitely as good as most of the lightsaber battles from the movies. And that's saying something.

Yep. There are easily things to pick on in both of them. But...

1) there's no way in hell I could do better, or even come close,
2) like you implied, this comes very close to professional

The choreography is excellent for a couple of 20-somethings. I was paying attention to camera angles and whatnot, and they have a crew that does a really good job. The scenes where the camera moves around the combatants is smooth and doesn't reveal that there's filming going on--very good.

That was realy nice!

The second one had a bigger budget it seems.  Lots more set damage and the severed arm.  Very cool stuff.

Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.

Seen them both, even saw the first when it came out. They're high quality, and very well done.

Didn't know about the second one from these two, it was great. Too much drama and some unrealistic things for my liking, but it was very good.

Better than the prequels.

Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

Over the centuries, mankind has tried many ways of combating the forces of evil... prayer, fasting, good works and so on. Up until Doom, no one seemed to have thought about the double-barrel shotgun. ~ Terry Pratchett

Awesome!! Love the part in the 2nd wen they're both saberless and square up for the fist fight and then run for the sabers.

This new learning amazes me Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.

if you get the chance, search youtube for 3 in the afternoon. I don't have 'tube at work, but it's pretty entertaining.
