Yes it is, currently in need of repair. As we have 4 other tv's, it hasn't been a burning issue to get it repaired. As I said, the game room used to be our theatre room. We haven't used it for anything in about a year or more (the master bedroom and living room both have built-in surround sound as well). | |

Yes, a fireplace would be a nice touch for the game room. An old chandelier over the table works pretty well too.

| Nice setup man. That looks somewhat like what we have now Here's a story that may make you sad (and let it serve as a lesson to all of you).
My buddy *yes it's my buddy, not me...* actually had to build a new house (2 blocks from his other house, which he just built 5 yrs ago) because his wife would complain about us playing in the basement. We play one night a week and had always played at this guy's house for the last 15 yrs (through 2 marriages). So he goes and builds the new house, finishes the basement (which is about the size of my total house), and dedicates one of the rooms to gaming. Soundproofing, bookshelves, rear entrance in basement to cut down on noise, bathroom, fridge, etc, etc. We have a gaming table built in the shape of a U where the countertop is white board to allow us to jot notes, write down temp bonuses, etc. It's in the shape of a U to allow the DM to sit in the middle area. The only thing that is missing are the minis, because i am the Mini Supplier for our group.
So of course, we get this gaming room exactly how we want it, and then his psycho wife decides that she now wants a divorce. To afford the splitting of assets, and child support, he will probably have to sell his house (at a loss in today's market) and we will be looking for a new place to game by the middle of next year. And some people ask me why i've never gotten married...
