| It doesn't look like much, but I just moved in. I'll post pictures as soon as I get a moment.
Here's the plan,
I'll be posting the progress of turning a spare, unfinished room into . . .
THE WEB OF DOOM ROOM!!!!!
Currently, it is an unfinished basement room just off from the laundry room.Â
 
ABANDON HOPE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE!!!
There is a single window looking north into the back yard (restricts peeping toms during my sessions of Strip D&D . . .).Â
NORTH WEST CORNER
The west wall is semi-finished with sheetrock.Â
NORTH EAST CORNER
The South wall is unfinished wall on this side, my office is on the other.
SOUTH EAST CORNER
The north (with the window) and the East walls are unfinished concrete.Â
SOUTH WEST CORNER
The South wall is unfinished wall on this side, my office is on the other.
The floor is bare concrete and the ceiling is unfinished, but has a nice ceiling fan.
It measures approx 12'x11'
What I want to do with it includes the following:
Finish the room! Put up sheetrock on the walls and ceiling. Put down carpet, and make it "livable".
The East wall I want to turn into a full wall of bookshelves for . . . gaming stuff . . .
One corner, currently might be the south east corner will go my TV and XBox 360 (when I get one).
Gaming posters and pictures and swords and props will be placed on the walls where there aren't shelves.
The center of the room will be the game table with chairs all around. On one end of the table will be the DM area with a shelf/table/desk for DM stuff.
The door is in the south weset wall and is currently a folding door.
So, the plan is to take a non-descript room and turn it into a shrine of gaming goodness.
Of course this will take a while, since my time and funds are as limited as my experience in this sort of thing.

I like the idea, but I'm not sure how to do it where the door is placed.Â
Actually . . .
Make it sunken into the wall, so the outside edge is flush with the wall. then when it opens it will be against the wall. Tricky, but possible.
