| Inspired by the McDonalds thread, I wonder what is everyone's favorite fast food place when you are in the mood for shortening your life span by a bit.
Mine would be Wendy's. Even though they got rid of my favorite burger, the big bacon classic, I'll stick with them for one thing above all other. Three words, Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
There is also a place on Cape Cod called Arnolds. It's not a chain but they have the best fried clams in the world. Awesome place. | | Ghendar - Bringin' the snark!

| | The Subways in western Mass are quite tasty too. They seem to be pretty much everywhere too, I drive by at least five of them on my way to work. I will ocasionaly indulge a monthy trip to Burger King, I prefer their fries over the McDonalds ones; although the burger I had there a week ago was kinda nasty. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | McDonalds was always the childhood treat so it remains a favorite today.
Subway is pretty good but Quiznos is better.

| I don't realy trust the quiznos out my way. A few years back there was a hep scare in one of the Boston quiznos. Also the setup at the eatieries is a little baffling to me, six people are not needed to make one sandwich. When one of my bosses ordered a tunafish sub, they had to ask the tuna guy to come off his break a few minutes early so he could scoop it. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | Jack-in-the-Box, for three reasons...
3. Closest to work, means more time to watch sportscenter in the breakroom. 2. Burgers are delicious, and they rarely mess up my special orders.
and
1. Curly Fries.
More reasons: freshness, and they still serve lemonade.

My problem with Quiznos is that I don't always want my grinder toasted. It seems like few of their grinders are tasty when not toasted. The cheese for the steak & cheese was a paste squeezed out of a tube. It grossed me out.   | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. | Don't really have a favourite, 'cause I like different things depending on my mood. Whopper's good. Sometimes Big Mac. KFC has some nice stuff. Frosty at Wendy's. I do like Quizno's subs better than Subway's. And yeah, the Sour Dough Jack is a real treat for me once a year maybe, as there are no Jack in the Boxes here in Vancouver. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| How can you pick just one?
I tend to cycle through the list (which sometimes takes 3-6 months to cycle through since I mostly cook).
Wendys, KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, Sconecutter (it's like Quiznos on fry bread), Arctic Circle (inventor of the almighty fry sauce), Tickles (Greek), Taco Bell (quasi-Mexican), Subway (cold sammiches), Quiznos (hot sammiches), New York Subs, Crown Burger (quasi-Greek), Weinerschnizel, SloJoe's BBQ, Sonic; the list just goes on and on. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. | Little Caesars = crappy pizza. On the other hand, they have crazy bread which is almost a narcotic.
I think Utah has a disproportionately high number of restaurants/fast food chains. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Champion of Dwarven Thunderlashers Knight of the Large Dire Chicken Have/Want List Trade References

| I'd have to chime in here: As I live nearby the local fast food row. I don't normally do this but every place close has a plus and I shall explain.
In order I have within 10 minutes of artey-clogging goodness are: Burger King, McDonalds, Nations(Giant Burgers-bay area locals may know), KFC/A&W, Taco Bell and Jack-in-the Box. Overall distance is perhaps a 1/2 mile if that. There are a few others that merit mention here, The Cheese Steak Shop, Wendy's and Pizza Guys or better yet Round Table- longer travel time.
Burger King- Whopper Jr w/cheese McDonalds- Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit on a Muffin. This rocks with a side of Hash browns Nation's Giant Hamburgers- Giant breakfast or for lunch a Giant Cheeseburger w/bacon. Get the wheelbarrow! KFC/A&W- The KFC bowl rocks, the drawback it isn't fastfood, you gotta wait alot! The place is busy. Taco Bell- depends on the mood Jack in the Box-Sourdough Jack oh yeah w/no tomato.
Others:
The Cheese Streak Shop-habit forming and they have great onion rings and deep fried mushrooms!. Pizza Guys-good pizza and the calzones are better than average. It is touigh to find a good calzone where I live. Round Table Pizza-The best locally, my fave the Italian Garlic Supreme, bust out the breath mints!
Well there is my babble about local fast food artey clogging goodness. Now if there was a Arby's nearby there would be no other place. Beef-n-Cheddar x2 mmmmmm.

| My top 5 favorites:
Arby's - their recent 5 for $5.55 was agreat deal.Â
Wendy's - the Frosty is to die for
Mighty Taco - a local much tastier version than Taco Bell
Burger King - I like the Triple Stacker (aka the Heart Attacker)
Dairy Queen - I love their Flamethrower burger and other cool treats and hot eats

| Hornerable mentions:
White Castle. Been there once while traveling and loved their burgers. Too bad their are none in my area.Â
Hardy's. Same as above, but been there a number of times.Â

| I hate to admit it, but I'd have to go with Taco Bell. I've got a real thing for hot sauce (I carry some with me in the trunk of my car) and it's a ton more fun to dump hot sauce on a taco than on a burger.
(which means, at base, most fast food is a medium for the delivery of hot sauce to my mouth, taco bell meets this criteria better than most)

We figured out how to replicate the Frosty using a KitchenAid, vanilla ice cream, Hershey's syrup, and chocolate malt. Viva la homemade frosties!
I always get a frosty if I go to Wendy's. Much easier than making my own

My favouritest used to be the Smoky Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's but they haven't had that for a long time. Wendy's is good, Burger King is also good (whopper deal on Wednesdays are great), and the occasional trip to McDonalds is ok too.

My favorite place for wings was a place in Westerly, RI called Wild Wings. They had all sorts of hot sauces that the owner used to come up with himself. Sadly, the place closed. Don't know why, it always seemed busy.
