| Man, when he knew he was going to die anyway, he should have come back into the limelight for one more completely crazy, assuredly suicidal stunt. Guys like Knieval should go out in a blaze of glory. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| Posted By ckissee on 11/30/2007 2:29 PM I had an Evel Knievel lunchbox when I was 7. Sad to see this guy go.
A couple of my classmates had this lunchbox. They were pretty cool back then. He himself was a cool guy. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

A sad day for the loss of a great showman.Â

| I had one of those Evel Knievel cycle toys when I was a kid. I loved trying to get it to jump things, like cars--not that it ever worked. I remember in the 70s that a lot of kids my age absolutely loved this guy.

I launched this thing, off of and into just about everything, including my sister.  He was a hard livin' hard workin' iconoclast. They don't make 'em like him anymore. Rest easy. | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun.
