I had an Evel Knievel lunchbox when I was 7.  Sad to see this guy go.

Man, when he knew he was going to die anyway, he should have come back into the limelight for one more completely crazy, assuredly suicidal stunt. Guys like Knieval should go out in a blaze of glory.

A couple of my classmates had this lunchbox.  They were pretty cool back then.  He himself was a cool guy.

I agree.  A crazy jump with an explosion and lots of fire and mayhem.Â

A sad day for the loss of a great showman.Â

I had one of those Evel Knievel cycle toys when I was a kid. I loved trying to get it to jump things, like cars--not that it ever worked. I remember in the 70s that a lot of kids my age absolutely loved this guy.

He was a hard livin' hard workin' iconoclast.  They don't make 'em like him anymore.  Rest easy.

You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. It's old and stuffy. - Originally Posted by BabWryter on Kenzerco.com

I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did, given the kind of stunts he performed.

Wow, I thought he'd have passed a long time ago from complications of perforating his innards. RIP, sir.
