| Who is your favourite fantasy artist, and why?
Mine:
the late Keith Parkinson...his paintings managed to capture motion, emotion and mood better than most I've seen in any genre...in particular, this one:
It's called "Huge Red Dragon", but I like to call it "How to soil your armour"... |

Yeah, that's my beef with Reynold's stuff.
As far as favorite? For modern stuff I'll say Todd Lockwood.
For classic stuff? Geez, not sure I can pick just one. I'll say Erol Otus. (you heard me)

Seconded. His Bar Fight for the DnD 30th Anniversary is simply amazing. I managed to be gifted a copy by a friend of mine who went to Gencon that year, it's now framed in my living room. All the covers for the new releases of R. A. Salvatore's Legend of Drizzt books are also fantastic. You can see his stuff all over the place.
