I reject the "IRL" usage in World of Warcraft. Sitting in front of a
blinking black box and hanging out with my friends is indeed real.
I propose changing IRL to IMS or "In Meat Space" to designate that some action is being done in the meaty realm.
This distinction should become obsolete in ~20 years when we all
upload our consciousnesses to computers, but in the mean time, this
should help clarify things. |
