| | I just saw the new Knight Rider "movie" on www.nbc.com last night. It's really an 80 minute pilot, but I don't know if a new series is actually going to happen or not. I actually enjoyed it. A couple minor violations of the laws of physics notwithstanding, I thought it was rather well done. I used to enjoy the original series as a kid, so it was nice to see the idea resurrected and updated. | |

Seriously? Missed shots is the question? No matter what era you're in, bullets almost never hit the good guy, unless it's to make him seem more awesome.
Pick any action movie, and there are hundreds of missed shots, again, statistically possible.

That was part of the charm of the show. Of course you can't have that many bullets fly and nobody get hit. It was all in fun.
And I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Those were all great shows. You don't have to have gritty realism to have good tv. You just need entertainment, and those were entertaining escapism shows.
And, okay, Jeff. I'll concede Luke Wilson. Vince Vaughn wouldn't be a bad choice, but on second thought, how about Steve Carell for Murdock? | |
