| I heard about this today and thought "awesome", especially when I heard Ray Park (Darth Maul) was playing Snake Eyes...then as I read the cast I noticed the one feature that will make this movie tank....freakin Marlon Wayans is a Joe! This is the same impression I had when I found out he was in the D&D movie.....ohhhh no...

| Well it's like this. I don't find him funny, at all. He's in the same catagory as carrot-top as far as I'm concerned. Something trying desperatly to be funny, yet falls oh so short.

So what if it's a little airborne it's still good it's still good... There were plenty of wrong things with the movie. Having Wayans in there is just one of the more obvious issues. Would the movie be better without him? Certainly, but not that much better. Much in the same way the Phantom Menace would benifit from no Jar-Jar, but still fall short of my expectations.

I never said Marlon Wayans was the only reason the D&D movie sucked. He was but a fraction of the reasons that movie sucked. I said I knew it was going to suck when I heard he was in it 
It's sorta like predicting the future when it comes to Marlon Wayans. When you want to make a movie for fans and you want to make sure it tanks, the first thing you do is cast Marlon Wayans in it.
....the guy played a man-baby & a white girl for crying out loud. Maybe Hollywood plans to keep doing the whole, "the black guy is the first to die" thing in the G.I. Joe movie and that's why they cast him. Maybe it won't be so bad afterall, but then again, they killed him that way in the D&D movie and it still bombed.

| Ok, he's only being cast as Ripcord, which means he'll have a small part, that will probably have some humour in it. No worries. There's some odd casting though... like Dennis Quaid (who is hit and miss) and the guy playing cobra commander (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, tv kid all grown up) shouldn't cobra commander be... well... old?

His death was the best part of the movie. It meant one less painful actor to watch.

| I had a nice collection too. My favorite thing was to take them apart and switch limbs and toroso and heads. My Cobra Commander got .... ahem Injured in a sensitive area, so I replaced his legs and lower torso with Shipwrecks. He looked pretty much the same, except no he was 70's Cobra Commander with Bellbottoms.
