| Wow, you and I have very different predictions kidxii.
In the east I'd go Habs, Pens, Caps, Devils.
In the west I'd go Wings, Sharks, 'Lanche, Ducks.
But, I wouldn't be surprised to see almost any of these go the other way. I know Montreal's beaten Boston something like 11 in a row, going back to last year, but Savard and Bergeron are coming back - that's a huge lift for the Bruins. I might have picked the Sens too because of experience, but their goaltending doesn't look steady right now - the Pens might have a little too much offense for them to handle this year. | |

| Sharks go back to Calagary tied @ 1 a piece. Will Mike Keenen finally blow a gasket? Yes espicially after the way the game was called by the refs Thursday night. The Flames were lucky they only lost 2-0, it could have been much much worse. Honestly noty to blow my horn here, but the Sharlks looked a team with something to prove, sure they blew 0 for what on the power play? Well they scored one.
As for the rest of the matchups, thanks Jeff for doing the leg work for me. I'll make sure you get an extra ration of peanuts down at the plant.
EASTERN CONFERENCE
(1) Montreal vs (8) Boston- This one I don't think Boston has got a chance/Montreal wins
(2) Pittsburgh vs (7) Ottawa- I love Ottawa but I think everybody wants to see Crosby in the spotlight/Pittsburgh wins
(3) Washington vs (6) Philadelphia-This is a toss up, I think whoever has got the drive will win, this'll go 7.
(4) New Jersey vs (5) NY Rangers-I will go with the Rangers, this may be both Shanahan and Jagr's final dance in the Big Show/Rangers win
Semis
(1) Montreal vs (5) NY Rangers- The Rangers because a combo of old and new.
(2) Pittsburgh vs (6) Philadelphia/Washington-??
Conf Finals
(2) ?? vs (5) NY Rangers
WESTERN CONFERENCE
(1) Detroit vs (8) Nashville-Um do I have to? Detroit hands down.
(2) San Jose vs (7) Calgary- The Sharks are just hitting their stride.

(2) San Jose vs ??? This depends on who wins in the 1/4's and plays Detroit in the semis. I can't call this one but if hard pressed to say...Anaheim would definitely give fits to SJ and a winner would be 50/50.
For the CUP
Nobody at this point to close to call. If my boys the Sharks fail to go all the way. My pick would definitly be the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I think a lot of people are surprised about what's happening between Dallas and Anaheim. It looks like the Rangers might have the Devils' number this year. Sean Avery makes a big difference to that team. | |
