About the labotomy, I'm sure there are some neurosurgeons that could perform a successful one and kill the patient fairly reliably.

| I like that about the US. If someone threatens you on your property, you can just shoot him.
Lemme tell you about Canada's ridiculous laws. A house was empty because the family was on vacation. A thief decides to rob the house by braking in through the skylight. He jumps into the house by smashing through the skylight, slips and sprains/breaks his ankle on a puddle on the kitchen floor. He sues the homeowners for causing him to sprain/break his ankle on the grounds that their kitchen floor should have been clean and dry. He won. Good grief. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

That sounds like something that happens in the US. If someone breaks into your house and gets mangled or killed, they got what they deserved. | | This new learning amazes me Sir Bedevere. | I'm all for rehab if they show the potential.
But a lot of rehab can be done in prisons. So, why let them be free?
I understand you want to improve, and it was a mistake, but as they say, "You do the crime, you do the time."

Exactly. It's like they're making a joke out of the system. You always hear about the defense counsel advising the client to say something stupid like his mom and dad used to beat him, and that led to the complex that led to the multiple homicide. | | It makes you wonder if the criminals are smarter than the doctors. You'd think the doctors could come up with some kind of a screen that could let them know when a guy is faking his rehab or not. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

Hopefully, medical technology advances enough so that they can tell from lesions in the brain whether a guy really has a mental problem or not. I'd definitely treat a guy differently if he has a legit problem, but I still wouldn't let him out onto the streets and endanger the general public - that's not fair to the rest of the citizens. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.
