I caught the tail end of the Goblet of Fire the other night. Voldemort..... didn't seem all that impressive to me. Does he at least come across as scary in the books?
Anyone want to respond on this one. I've not read the books, nor seen much of the other movies. The tail end of Goblet doesn't make him out too "Dark Lordish" in my opinion.

| | Voldemort isn't impressive in the movies (too much build up, not enough actual scariness). I haven't read the books, but the readers I've spoken with don't seem to be too worried about him, the writing is more where the tension is created rather than by a nasty super villain. | |

| Having read the books, the portrayal of Voldemort in the graveyard at the end of BIV was quite precise. It was one of the about three scenes that do not suck.
Agree with GH, he's not that super nasty killer and the center of attention, but he is depicted as very arrogant, powerful and sadistic. He's built nicely if you read the books from the beginning.
