| Or former friends.
So I'm having a birthday shindig on Saturday. I invite a few of my co-workers and one of them happens to know an old ex-friend of mine. Apparently said ex-friend catches wind of this and now plans on showing up.
Some back ground: This guy has catagorically offended almost everyone who has ever met him, raging alcoholic doesn't even come close to a description, in college he vomited at least once in every room of my apartment, he destroys _nouns_ rampantly has he has little to no respect for the property of others, when he gets drunk (read always) he pulls off his pants (he's now a registered sex offender for streaking).
So, quite naturually I have no desire to spend my nice party watching to make sure he doesn't destroy my house or piss of my friends. I call him sadly I only got his machine, and I made it totally clear that he was not welcome.
Sigh, I have no desire to deal with this, and if he shows up saturday, I have no desire to spend 30 minutes standing at my door yelling at him to get out.

Shotgun + salt means quick results if no one turns you in.
Either just call the police, or relocate the party or host it one day earlier. When he gets there, no one will be home.

I'm right in the middle. Not old enough to despise birthdays, but not young enough to truly look forward to them.
However, My son's birthday is the day before mine, and I'm looking forward to our shared birthday GenCons when he's old enough.
