| With the Warlocks and Teiflings as a core class / race.... I respectfully disagree. Also with the fluff about being points of light in a great darkness. I'd say it may be being aimed at teenagers, but no younger than that.

New video games,books,action figures and new roleplaying game/mins game. I think D&D will have similiar results. It will remain popular and make a lot of money . for the 3.5 holdouts life will also be good. You will get better bargains on 3.5 materials through stores and ebay,etc. You hae enough reading material for a lifetime. | |

If you like the original star wars, you're hungry for more material - even if it suxors.
You don't want the story you have grown so fond of to end...thus demanding more, even if the quality goes down. (reason for fanfiction) Ultimately, people would start to see the decline in quality and turn away, but that would take some time.
Example: Harry Potter. 7 great books. Anything more can't push the quality higher, but has a serious chance to drop it by a lot. Rowling even said she would think about more books.

I think they are aiming it at younger teenagers. They're the new market, and they are becoming more and more a consumer force.
