It's interesting......
At some levels it a monster mash of old Hanna Barbara cartoons. The Venture Family is like a disfunctional version of the Quest family from Jonny Quest. Quite a bit of the show is dedicated to the characters failings as well. Dr. Venture for instance is always overshadowed by his Late Father, also a superscientist; but less pill popping and more Doc Savage like. His Bodyguard Brock Sampson is a killing Machine from the Office of Secret Intelligence. Protecting Dr. Vanture and his family is a punitive assignment for "failling" the agency almost two decades ago. Hank and Dean Venture are two akward kids in their mid teens, they also get killed alot. Dr. Venture has been through at least 13 clones of the boys. Other pop-characters and Parodys apear. From the first season we have the Impossible Family aka a Horrible version of the Fantastic Four. In the new Season there's a OSI bit that is copied on the old GI Joe cartoon intro.
