| So, the forcast was for a nice sunny day with an evening shower around 6-8pm or so.
The reality was that we got golf ball sized hail for over 1/2 an hour solid which, as it figures, I was dirving in. Of course I was driving my wife's car, which is 4 years newer than mine and has 90k less miles and is now riddled with dents. The ice was hitting the car so hard it was hurting my eardrums and I'm amazed the windshield didn't break. As I'm creeping along the road, a severe storm warning for my area comes over the radio, about 10 minutes too late.

| Weathermen have the ideal occupation. They can be wrong 90% of the time and still retain employment
Sucks about your car, Wraith. That's a real downer. Pity you couldn't class-action the weather station to fix your dents. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? | I was chatting with a guy at work about last years severe hailstorm in Western Ma. It turns out the car dealerships got completly taken by suprise. Lots full of brand new cars were riddled with dents. They then proceded to sell off the cars for $1,200-$1,600 a piece.
Sorry to hear about your suprise today. We were expecting to see some of that hail, but thankfully missed out on it.

| I agree. What a gig the weather-person has. I think anyone could do a better job by just looking out the window.Â

I always wondered why the weathermen don't do such a thing...
Of course, most of them have no idea what they're talking about, they're not actual meteorologists. Just pretty people trying to make anchor.

Brokeback Hailstorm? (I was going to go for something based on "cumulonimbus", but I quickly realized I didn't want to go there. )

I'd take a dented brand new car for that price. That's an awesome deal, even for an economy car. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |
