| How many people liked this movie?
I saw it, I liked it. It was 10,000 light years better than the Hulk (hated the last one). Still it was no Iron Man, however, still decent.
Is it a new initiative to make comic book movies not suck? I hope so. | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. | I haven't seen it, but My friend did, and he liked it. He put it just below Iron Man. (But, he's a bit of a Hulk fanboy, so he was a bit excited, I bet. )
Comic book movies will be great when you can say
"That was a great movie"
instead of
"That was a great Comic-book movie"

I've found myself saying that several times in the past few years. Is that just me? X-Men, Spiderman, Batman Begins all come immediately to mind. (I have yet to see Iron Man.)

| | Not just with comic book movies, but fantasy has the same problem. | The Hulk was good. More Ed Norton and more smashing. Granted, there was less Jennifer Connely
The biggest shift I've noticed with Iron Man/Spider Man/Hulk over other comic-book films is that the better (and mostly newer) films function as film, rather than feeling constrained to ensure that every scene looks like a panel from a comic book. The more comic-book-based movies edge away from their roots, the more engaging, complex, and artistic can the storytelling be (since stories should always be tailored to the genre and media used). | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. | Jeff's theory to quality nerd movies:
Don't stray from the story (there's a reason it's Iconic) + Actual movie Budget + actual movie effects.
Basically, make a movie, and use the comic story. Nothing different from your other, quality movies.
I mean, come on people, this isn't rocket surgery.
