| Thinking about doing the lowest Netflix deal (which I believe is 3 movies a month for 5$).
For those that know, list the pros and cons of joining Netflix.

| I'm running the $13 plan (2 dvds at a time, unlimited movies).
Pros: Cheaper than renting at local movie store/xbox live marketplace if I rent more than 4 movies a month. Quick shipping (usually shows up next day) Comprehensive library (only found one movie which Netflix doesn't have that I wanted to see) Excellent customer service (had a disc show up broken in half, sent e-mail notifying them and they sent a replacement next day) Online rental speed is pretty good.
Cons: No instant gratification (at best it takes 2 days between movies...one going and one coming) Online rental options are fairly weak-sauce (very limited library of online rental options) Online rental viewer doesn't support firefox I'm always nervous the neighbors will steal movies out of my mailbox.
So far, I've been pretty happy with the service. The biggest downside for me is the lack of instant gratification and that's a minor complaint. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. | **warning, personal opinion**
I just don't think renting is a good idea. In the end, for the price of a rental or two, you could buy a movie at Wal-mart that's been out for a few years. The theater at least has some advantages over a home system (sheer size, quality and sound, unless you're at Zenthurs' House ) So, personally, I would just buy a movie a month instead. You can even be reasonably sure you like it.
Barring that, I like Zenthrus' idea of unlimited, just in case a lot of good movies come out.

| mixed bag.
You can rent flicks thAt you thought were good, knowing you don't hafta keep them.
Same token, most lpaces w. pawn shops have DVDs for 4/$20 or 5/$20
If your're near a large city, it'll come quick, but if you live kind out there it'll take longer to get movies inna mail.
I had the $20/mo plan, but has cable now, so do not see the value in it | | Waiting for Chainmail Equivalencies since 2005

| I am happy with my Netflix for the most part. Haven't had any issues except the time they sent a Blu-Ray disc instead of the standard DVD.
