| Heroclix and Mageknight never got me to even bat an eyebrow in their direction, but Horrorclix... Now that is something I can get behind.
I'm especially impressed by the massive Cthulhu figure they've produced.
I'll buy the game if for no other reason than him. | | Champion of the Mimic; Knight of the Caryatid Column Called Shots: Unhallowed - Tomb Mote Vindicated Called Shots: Blood Wars - Solar Aberrations 60/60, Deathknell 60/60, Angelfire 60/60, Underdark 60/60, Wardrums 60/60, WotDQ 60/60

| I saw the set poster when I was in Pittsburgh, some of the figures look pretty neat (on paper). There's even a Medium/Large Aspect of Cthulhu, in case you can't get the honkin' mammajamma.
However, WK game mechanics are still inferior to DDM. I may pick up a few figures on the secondary market, but I can't really get behind another WK product.

| Never got into Mageknight or Heroclix at all. Mechclixs I love the looks of (being a Battletech fan). But I'm only a casual collector, which creates the problem that since I'm not goint to drop 20+ bucks for a single 'mech most of the really nice ones I don't have.
I foresee this as a problem with Horrorclix, pieces based on Predator, Aliens or even Cthulhu are probably going to reach unreasonable prices, and I'll refuse to pay those prices. | | "I was sittin' here eatin' my muffin, drinkin' my coffee, replayin' the incident in my head, when I had what alcoholics refer to as a moment of clarity." - Jules Winnfield Sales/Trades Bad (1): Ironfist Boulderbender Trades/Sales completed (8.): Danthl, Dafrca, Garyaxe, qillan_dvra, realmaster, Vandal_Savage, cavedweller, unearthed arcana. | | Yes.. Unfortunatly. I don't know if I will like the game at all, however I am planning on picking up two cases of Boosters as well as a Mighty Cthulhu figure. If the game turns ou to be a dud, I'll have a ton more minis for Pulp/Horror adventures then. | | Pathetic Earthlings. Feel like divulging if there are any other Cthulhu Mythos figs? Shoggoths, mi-go, Yithians, Deep Ones, any of those?
(in case it isn't obvious, I'm not interested in playing, but I'll definitely grab some Mythos figures if they're good)
EDIT: Found the poster! http://s57.photobucket.com/albums/g206/Kissarmy77/Horrorclix/
EDIT AGAIN: In the Mythos department, there's an Avatar of Cthulhu, a Deep One, and a Brine Witch(female Deep One?). All are the exact same shade of green as the big Cthulhu. | | Champion of the Aboleth, Prophet of Denizens. BW Called Shot: Babau, UH Called Shot: Aspect of Vecna

| | This is a set I would really like to get into, but after looking over the poster, I don't think there's quite enough pieces that excite me. I will probably let these pass by. | Oh wow thanks.
Umm....Yuck...These dont look good at all.
I though Horrorclix was gonna be full of movie monsters like Jason, Freddy and Leatherface and old classics like Dracula and the Mummy.
These are just kinda cheese.
And the Aspect of Cthulu is kind of small....Oh well :( | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

Yeah, they should have lots of classic monsters, esp. some of the licensed ones. Not the way to do the flagship set for a new game.

| When I originally heard about the line, I thought there would be anumber of figures I'd want for translation into D&D figures. However, after seeing the poster...

| There are a couple I like:
Dr. Jekyll Jack the Ripper Outpatient Scarecrow Evil Leprechaun Nosferatu Vampire Enforcer Headless Horseman (maybe)
As far as working them into D&D, though, the list is a lot shorter. I see a lot of scaling issues possible too. | | Anson on WotC boards

| I've been collecting 'em for RPG use. There's quite the Zombie army in one of my old cigar boxes. Some of the new Nightmare figures are pretty neat, like the 50 ft Ex-Girlfriend.
