| | I had a trade with galerians and now it gone last I saw it was waiting on the feedback and the trade was complete and we both recieved but now the trade is gone. The feedback thing needs to be fixed.(with a time limit or something). Galerians sent me a letter explaining that his computer was broken...so it was stuck in waiting for feedback for 2-3 months then just this week it disappeared and it was a valid trade. What can be done...? I lost that trade as counted...? | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! The Drumming Drunkn' DM | |

| I don't kow if it's gone for good or not.
You could wait until his computer is fixed then just reissue the trade again. You guys both accept, ship, receive and leave feedback. It's a legit trade, you should get credit for it. | | Champion of Gromph Baenre

I will pass this tidbit of info along to LCS to see if anything can be done. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and apologies for not noticing this sooner. | | Gehenna

| It's unlikely that any transactions were "lost" from the trade interface during the forum /server update, since no changes were made to trade interface software or database. It is possible, but unlikely...
The more likely cause for its disappearance would be that one of you clicked on the button to delete the transaction, perhaps unintentionally. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to recover the transaction, and although I'm actually not sure if deleted transactions are immediately purged from the saved trade interface database or not, I suspect that they are.
Sorry...
If you remember the switch to the automated trade interface that happened a month or two after you first joined, most active users lost some recorded transactions due to the fact that it wasn't feasible to try to record all of the trades reported in the final manual "report your trade here" thread.
Back then, some of us who had begun trading in the six months or so prior to the new trade interface system (a very necessary upgrade) lost somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-20 trades and went back to 0 references, and a few users lost even more transactions.
It probably won't make you feel any better about the lost trade, but there are lots of people whose transaction "count" doesn't match their actual transaction history.

25 trades in my case, IIRC. A new trader once noticed this disrepancy and asked me about it.
Edit: It's actually 27 for me. I also want to stress that my comment is in no way a complaint.  The trade interface is far superior to the old system, although not as much fun. | | You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. It's old and stuffy. - Originally Posted by BabWryter on Kenzerco.com

| | I concur, the interfacce doesn't add up with the number of trades I have either. | | Gehenna | |

| | What I think happened is it disappeared because Galerians never gave me feedback but he put that he recieved then his computer blew up and now I think he hasn't been to the site since. After we changed over it disappeared during awaiting feedback...or Galerians might of deleted it and has not been to the site since. But it was a good trade.... | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! The Drumming Drunkn' DM | |
