I'm a new trader on these boards, and have just finished my first DDM trade sucessfuly. We had conversed over email to do the trade. I took a look at the trade system, but without a small intorduction on "this is how it works" I'm a little lost with it. Could anyone fill me in?

Thanx.

Welcome! One of the best things about this site is the trading opportunities.

Generally, a trade might progress something along these lines...

Enter your trade partner's name in the box marked "New Proposal"

Enter the trade info ("I'll send you this for that")

Trade partner accepts, counters, or declines. If countered, original sneder can accept, counter, or decline. Once declined, you'll have to start again from the top, probably with a new potential trade partner.

Once accepted, addresses are exchanged (usually via email, but through the trade interface will probably work too).

Packages are packed up and shipped, and marked as shipped on the trade interface.

Packages are received, and feedback is left on the trade interface.

It's actually easier to do than explain! [:)] As you've already finished your first trade, you may want to record the trade using the interface. Propose the trade (you've already done), have your trade partner accept it, and then both mark as shipped and received (assuming you have shipped and received).

Completed Trades/Transactions: 91 || Pending Trades: 0 || Bad Trades: 3 (Chaotic Good x2, MackeyV)

One thing to note about the interface is that only you and your trade partner (and mods/admins, I think) can see what is recorded in the comments section.

You know, I keep thinking that after the new design team gets done with D&D 4e, D&D won't stand for Dungeons and Dragons anymore, because well, that's just not fun. It's old and stuffy. - Originally Posted by BabWryter on Kenzerco.com

Only Admins with access to the database can see this information. Moderators don't have access.
