Obviously, negative feedback is for a trade that goes badly south, but what about neutral feedback?

Would you use that for a trade where the minis took an inordinate amount of time to get to you? For when your trade partner didn't ship until after they received (without prior agreement to that arrangement)? For poor communication about shipping/receiving? For bad packaging?

Inquiring minds ....

I have yet to use it. I even had no idea it had now been implemented. I am usually a black and white person, so I would use a negative feedback only if
something really bad happened. I would use it for slow shipping ( non-airmail ) if I ever had to. A little hitch in a trade can usually be worked out and one
could just never trade with the person again.

This is a good use of the neutral rating.

For bad packaging, that usually only happens with newer traders.  In this case, I would still give them a positive rating, but send them an email about better packaging in future trades.

I am about to give someone a neutral rating.  His minis arrived, missing three commons, but with all the key rares present.  He does not answer emails regarding sending the missing items.  I am giving him two weeks to reply or re-send, then I will be giving him a neutral rating.

Yes, Thenameless, that does look like a good use of the Neutral feedback if he does send the commons. If not, I would go to negative and report him/her.

I'm seriously considering giving neutral feedback on a trade. The trade was with a new trader who had 3 completed trades with positive feedback. I wasn't trading anything that I was too worried about loosing so I didn't make him send first (and the fact that I only have 12 completed trades). We made the trade and I sent out my end. He did not send until he received my end. I have since received his part of the trade and everything was in order.

The communication was very poor on his end of the trade and I'm still kind of pissed that he waited to send until he got my end of the trade. So I don't know. I'm considering the neutral feedback (Although I've already received the mini's he hasn't hit the send button in the trade interface yet - so I still have time to consider my feedback carefully) but it seems like a d*ck move to me considering I got the mini's.

Any opinions?

Star, if they did indeed wait to send until yours was received, then it warrants a neutral rating. Nobody with three trades completed should be pulling stunts like this.

Yeah, I left him neutral feedback. I don't know if he did it on purpose or if he just got sidetracked or whatever. The communication was also very poor - if I had gotten an email saying that he had stuff going on and would send out his end as soon as possible I would have understood that and marked the trade positive when it did arrive. But by not sending until after my end arrived, combined with the lack of communication - I have to assume that he did it on purpose.

Typically users with 10 completed trades or less are usually required to send first at the request of the other user. This of course, depends on the person you are trading with also. Some may agree to simu-send and some may not.
In the case mentioned here, a break down of communication has happened between the two and one user had every right to leave neutral feedback.

I have to add that some of us may be a bit lazy...(myself-guitly as charged) in having a slight delay in shipping. Abit minor but issues in life do occur.

We live we learn we move on.
