| I've got 2 trades going on, neither of them from this site. I've waited for a 9 weeks for a packet that was sent in 2nd class, and 4 weeks for another that was sent in 1st class. My girlfriend's waited for maybe 5-6 weeks for one packet, and a friend of mine has also been waiting for 2 packets for 8 and 10 weeks.
Sounds like there's something fishy going on. Anything like this has never happened to me before, except one 5-week 1st class delivery and 2 6-week 2nd class deliveries - from Canada, which is well known to be slow from time to time. I don't know if it's only to Finland or in international trades only, or what's going on... I already called to the central post and they couldn't tell of any larger mail handling mishaps.
I've done about 100 international trades without losing any minis/cards, but this time it starts to feel bad...

| I have only done one, but I have only a few trades so far. Overall it was a very positive experience although I did have some reservations at first before going through the experience. Time wasn't a big issue, as it was shorter than the periods you've mentioned, even if it was a little longer than for a US trade.
What worried me was that there was no tracking number for the packages so there was a lot more riding on trust. Although in the future I will trade overseas, I think I'll only do it with someone with a very good trading record. | |

| | Depending on how they were actually being shipped, I would not be surprised if given the recent fluid bomb scares in Britian that all small parcels are being held for closer scrutiny for a while, especially small ones with "gift" on the customs form. I assume they were coming from the US. Of the hundreds of trades (300+) I have been involved with, the only ones that got lost were two one year that were sent close to the christmas holidays and were never recieved by the other end. I have had a couple of EBAY wins allegedly go awry as well, but I am not as confident that the sellers actually sent in those cases. | |

| I'm not sure anymore if this delivery that is still missing has anything to do with delivery times. It's 6 weeks now from this guy's 'sending' and 2 weeks him not replying to my mails, but he has updated his lists. This guy has 60 references but after Cha0tic Good I'm not sure about anything. I just sent a mail to the trading site's owner telling the facts about this trade. I'm pretty pissed as the value of the trade is some $80-90.
Normally airmail delivery times from europe to US are 1 week, sometimes a few days more, and it tends to be a little more this way. I don't know how recent events have changed the situation. | |

Canada.   Shipping from Australia (where I am) to the
US is usually about a week, and back is about 10 days.  To
Canada can be up to three weeks there and up to five back (no clue why
it's that long).   I've yet to have a bad experience
with Maxmini's though.  E-Bay is another matter - one mini
from Canada never arrived (been six months now), a pack of 10 old rares
(almost $300 US) from a US store hasn't arrived after two
months.  And two packages from Canada that took three months
each because the seller sent them surface mail.  Â

| I traded with Rakhamon and it took about 10 days for his minis to get here, so about 5-7 business days from my single experience.

| I received the second packet yesterday - it was sent a month later than promised. It took less than a week to arrive, it was sent by a delivery service. I don't know the truth about packet's travel time that way either - after 3 weeks I heard it hadn't arrived, but after that I didn't receive any messages from the trader. I don't know if his sending was due to my post where I mentioned that the site's owner wants failed trades to be reported to him... Anyway, he hasn't given me reference from that trade, but hasn't reported about not getting packet either.
After all, I got the minis, but still this left me bad taste to my mouth.
So, after all, my situation wasn't due to post office. Well, with this second airmail case. The first packet still took 9 weeks in surface mail.
