| So, I need advice. What should I do when a person flat out lies to me about when they shipped, going as far as sending me a bogus DC (it's active now, which means I'll likely get my stuff, but I was sent the DC and it was marked shipped in the interface 5 days prior) and mark it shipped in the interface. I know a lot of people keep DC slips at home(I do)to save time at the post office, or print their own postage and lots of things theoretically could have come up, but when you see that person here every day and don't get an email, something's up.
How hard is this....
Hey, sorry, I keep DC slips at home and thought I'd make it to the Post Office, but something came up and I didn't. I should be able to make it by Thursday. Again, apologies.
There...I don't type all that fast and it took me under a minute and a half...... | | This new learning amazes me Sir Bedevere. | Personally, I would hope that you actually get your end of the trade, then I would decide to never trade with that person again. I'd be pretty tempted to leave a non-positive feedback, but I would probably end up leaving a positive once I actually got what I was supposed to get.
There was no explanation at all, not even an excuse? The communication is sorely lacking, for sure. | | KD Minister of Economy, Organizer of The Maxminis Red Paper Clip Project Champion of: Aspect of Blibdoolpoolp Miniatures Lists "I *am* a third-party company." | | I probably wouldn't trade with them again due to poor communication skills if the situation is as you describe it to be. | | | |

| I agree with everyone, but did you mention it to the person at all? Communication is a two way street and I find that if I have a problem with a trade, I shouldn't ignore it either.
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, so maybe his inaction is ignorance more than maliciousness. Perhaps telling him of this problem would serve you and other traders a lot of good. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| | If you have communicated with him, as gss_000 said, and he has continued to lie about it, then I feel that negative feedback is in order. | | Being on Maxminis means that there is no excuse about not having access to a computer. Plus, most people (especially people who trade) check their emails regularly. If you receive all of the minis, give a positive feedback, but warn the person that this type of action warrants neutral feedback in future trades. And now they'll have to send first in future trades. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| | Now, I'd see this situation as a prime example of neutral feedback: you got the items, but the trade was not one you want to repeat. But then, that's me. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| I had a DC from Hordelings that wasn't registered -- the trader neglected to add a final 0. It was enroute by the time he'd corrected it.

| | Just a FYI about DC's. If you mail them so a mail carrier actually picks them up (like at work) or drop them in a mailbox, they will likely never be scanned until the day the postal carrier drops it in your box. They are designed for delivery comfirmation (thus the DC) and not for tracking. I consider them fairly useless myself, since I always drop off mail at work, unless I really don't trust the person I am trading with. | | 270+ Trades Completed (194 maxminis | 50 wizards | 29 hordelings) References: http://www.maxminis.com/Forums/tabid/104/view/topic/forumid/53/postid/435268/Default.aspx H/W List: http://www.maxminis.com/hwlist.asp?user=gausse Bad Trades: Chaotic Good (Strongbow Lone Eagle), dndonuts, Allard, ScottWallace Email: gausse2@yahoo.com
