| | I lost one of the games in our qualifier by 3 pts - one Orc Warrior. It was the difference between getting the invitation to GenCon and going home with a DK booster. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| | I lost a qualifier match because of a gravehound. I'd killed off his commander, my gravehound had caused his orc champ to fail his MC, but he also failed the stun check that went with the attack, so he couldn't rout off the board before time expired. | | | |

Ouch.
Now I don't feel so bad about getting into the top 8 only to have to face the one band of the other 7 that my band was specifically weak against. Needless to say, I too went home with a booster (Ravenous Vampire--yuck).

I totally forgot about my Warchanter's Improved Countersong ability and left him 7 squares away from my opponent's Nightwalker that had 45 HP remaining. Thus, he was able to outrun my Storm Giant and survive in the last round. If I had remembered and put him out of command, my Storm Giant could have gotten two melee attacks on the Nightwalker (one from a Crow Shaman), at least one of which most likely would have connected, and my Elf Pyromancer could have done that last 5 (if needed) with an Orb.
Alas, my mistake -- so I took second instead of first. Gah.
