| | Thx for the report, Beholders rock in extreme (they actually have some support pieces). | | They just don't know what's good in life...Conan, tell them what is good in life. To rip the boosters. To count the minis spilled out before you, and to hear the indifference of the women... | |

| The MFT IS a beautiful thing in 500. First game, I caused my son's Large Silver to morale, he missed, then I won initiative and Psychic Screamed it off the board. Nasty!
Did you remeber to make an SR roll when your Rakshasa was in LOS to a Beholder? I had trouble with that on Saturday. I rolled for MY Beholder, then kept forgetting to roll for John the Elder's Beholder. In the last game, I kept forgetting to make Aaron roll as he was unleashing SSs on his Storm Giant.

Yes, I did, though I forgot about it once when my first opponent used his healer. (You don't make multiple rolls for having LoS to multiple Beholders, though.) It was at the forefront of my mind because one of my strategies was to get the Rakshasa into a position on the 2nd round (or the 1st, if my opponent really stuck his neck out) where he wouldn't have line of sight to any Beholders but would have it to my Thaskors and front line enemy troops. That way, he could freely use bigby's slapping hand after my Thaskors had engaged in melee--as long as I could do it without undo risk to my commander. On the third round, I'd slap again and then move the Rakshasa back toward the protection of my Beholders. I really only made use of that strategy in my first battle. Slide and hold person I would try if I saw an opportunity, but I didn't sweat it if I lost the spells. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X

| All in all it was a good time I think. I didn't do well enough to face the tri-beholders but I think I would have been wasted by them and I was running 3 giants so the Thaskors are not a big threat in melee but the fact that it takes forever to kill one is IMO one of the keys to this band and not a very obvious one at that. I also think the fact that the MFT has no DC on the scream is huge(and maybe abit too much). The second match may have been different if the giant was played more aggessively but that is had to tell from what little of the match I saw. | | Asystole is a stable heart rhythm | |

| Report from the "losers" bracket
I was playing King Snurr Fire giant Formorian Hex-blade Urthok Gravehound Goblin sneak
I was not really prepared for the bands that showed up I was expecting to see the Nightwalker and huge dragons but no one played them.
First match was against the storm giant first couple rounds were mostly manuvering with the Storm giant taking pot shots. when the melee started I lost King Snurre from the attacks of the Storm giant. Then the Storm giant and Formorian started trading blows at reach. This was the point where we both forgot about the cover from his rats. He was summoning rats to keep my giants at bay. Not real sure how much impact that had but it may have let me get in an extra swing or two. The Hex-blade was unable to curse his giant and I was unable to get enough points to make up for the loss of Snurre.
Second Match was a bye which I was able to win[:D]
Third match was the Greenfang and huge magical beasts
I really liked the theme of his band but I think the 4 huges just got in each others way too much. I was able to bottle them up with the Formorian and thanks to the Trex's low ac was able to drop them fairly fast. Urthock was so useless he was renamed the mildly annoying and was routed by a bulette and never rallied. the sneak scored 2 crits on a bulette which was surprising. The loss of one T-rex left a hole for my Fire giant to base the druid. After two more turns I had wiped out his band with only the loss of Urthok.
I wish I had time to play the other two if just for the experiance as extreme is a format I rarely get to play. As I said before the Beholders would probably eaten me alive but would have been fun to try. | | Asystole is a stable heart rhythm

| | Thanks for the report, I hope you all enjoyed the maps [:)], sorry to hear you turnout was not that great. ours has been dieing down also, but I think most of that was people wanting to rest after the qualifier and others moving out of the area. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148- | |
