What's the difference between the "primary" tournament at noon, and the "secondary" tournament at 3:00 PM?

(P.S. All signed up and donated.)

The primary tournament has the repainted mini prizes and the high prestige win. The secondary tournament starts three matches after the first and should be less competitive. Both tournaments will have substantial booster prize support. The two events are structured this way to provide the most fun to the widest range of players. I expect players of all skill levels will really have a lot of fun.

So if someone washes out early in the first tourney, he can sign up for the second? Just *cough*cough* asking. You know, for a friend. Yeah, that's it.

does the $10 go towards entry for both or just one?

Wayne: Yes, that's one of the reasons for the second tourney.

Draxx: Yes. One fee gets you into both. (But if you stay in the first past the second round, you can't really play in the second.)

Guy means after the third match.

After we play three matches in the primary tournament, the second tournament will start. At that time, people who want to drop can enter the second tournamet for free (since they have already paid.) Anyone showing up too late for the primary tournament can play in the second tournament.

Website updated with some of the clarifications.

Hmm. Personally, I wouldn't intentionally encourage people to drop out of a tourney....mangles people's tiebreakers, doncha know.

It will be across the board, so It might not be too bad.

In any event, I think it is a great experiment. We'll see what happens.

You do realize that you *must* play a Balor band, right? If they're allowed ... are we allowing Dark Naga, Elminster, Guenhwyvar and Balor?

It's sanctioned, so unfortunately for Fenris, he can't use the Balor.

Similarly, Guen, Elminster, and the Dark Naga are not legal.

Minis from sets that have not yet been released cannot be used in a sanctioned event.

Bah. Sanctioning gets in the way of all the fun.

Fenris, I hope you'll at least bring a Balor warband ... just to see him in action (in a practice match).

I really haven't decided what to play yet. I suppose I could bring Emerald Chill, but it just seems like I should try something different.

I haven't played a single constructed game since the final game of the championship; we've been playing sealed down here. So I'm hesitant to go too far afield without any practice. Hrm...
