Video Game: D&D Online a new MMORPG has begun beta testing.
Charity: http://childsplaycharity.org/ For the past three years, gamers and geeks around the world have raised nearly a million dollars in toys, games and cash for sick kids in Children's Hospitals across the globe through a grassroots charity called Child's Play. Created by Penny Arcade, no "Administrative Fees" or other nonsense is collected; all gifts and donations go directly to the hospitals for distribution to sick kids. Including Shands Childrens Hospital.

Erik - We’re trying something new for this upcoming Magic Prerelease. We’re going to make this a full gaming weekend with all sorts of games from Wizards of the Coast. Star Wars, Axis & Allies, and D&D Miniatures tournaments as well as some of Avalon Hill’s best selling board games will be demoed all weekend. Also, included will be two full days of RPGA Dungeons & Dragons sanctioned gaming!
To accommodate all of these new opportunities, we are going to be charging a small entry fee to enter the convention hall. Only $3 will get you in for Friday night and all day Saturday, and another $3 for Sunday, or if you plan to stay all weekend you can get a three day wristband for $5. Everyone who wishes to come into the event hall MUST purchase a wristband.
This program, if successful, will carry over into all further Magic Prereleases and other larger events. We are always trying to expand players’ choices so that you don’t have to be bored waiting for your flight to fill up. Just grab a demo of a game and maybe you’ll find something you like! | |
